Kandahar - Nicole Bowe

I thought this movie was varying interesting. I though it should a lot of the issues of the time when the movie was taking place. It showed a lot of good information on what was going on with the war, how the red cross was there helping out and how scary going back into afanganstan from iran was. There was a lot of enforcement on the people stepping on land mines and how often and dangerous they where, and how the red cross would give people legs and hands to them who got blown off by land mines. I also thought it was interesting how they showed the girls the land mines by using dolls and telling them that there dangerous and to stay away. I also liked how they showed the girls and how they were preparing them to go back into afganistan and for the dangers and responsiblities. I though it was scary to think of the little boy learning all about weapons like automatic guns and shot guns and pistols. It was a scary thought knowing all these young boys needed to learn this and if they did not know it they where expelled from school and the girls did not go to school at all.
